Statement of Malacañang on Pres. Bongbong Marcos over Duterte’s Impeachment Trial
BONGBONG MARCOS – Malacañang clarified that the President is not open for any dialogue over Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial.
Amid the different reactions on the remand of the Articles of Impeachment against Duterte to the House, Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero said there are no limitations to what the impeachment court can or cannot decide. Eighteen (18) senators supported the motion to return the impeachment to the lower chamber.

According to Escudero, the remand of Duterte’s impeachment is a chance for the House prosecution panel to address questions. Only five (5) senator judges opposed the motion to return the Articles of Impeachment to the lower chamber:

Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel and Sen. Risa Hontiveros stressed that there is no concept of return in the Constitution. Former Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile also stressed that it is clear that the Senate must act “forthwith” on an impeachment. According to him, the Senate cannot also order the House of Representatives as they are co-equal.

Recently, Malacañang spoke anew on the impeachment trial against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Based on a report on PhilStar, Palace press officer Atty. Claire Castro stressed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is not open for any dialogue about the impeachment trial or proceedings.
“Muli, uulitin ko po ah, hindi po open ang Pangulo sa anumang dayalogo patungkol sa impeachment trial or proceedings,” the Malacañang official said.

According to Atty. Claire Castro, Pres. Bongbong Marcos is only open for dialogue over bills and laws but not with regards to the issues of the impeachment of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Based on the report, the Malacañang official hopes that the clarification will reach Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero.
“Maliwanag ko pong sinabi na maaari lang po siyang makipagdayalogo kung hindi na maganda ang sitwasyon patungkol sa mga issue sa bills, sa batas. Sana makarating po ito kay Senate President Chiz Escudero,” Castro said.
Recently, amid the issues, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte made fresh allegations that several congressmen allegedly received money for signing the impeachment case against her. She claimed that several congressmen allegedly admitted to being promised something.
Yes tama po wag na pag aksayahan ang isang walang kwentang nilalang, the Impeachment court and now the judicial court will make sara duterte face her cases. The country not continue to progress if we always waste time to irrelevant individuals!
