PAGASA Says LPA and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that LPA and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (June 17, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
Pagasa Weather Specialist Obet Badrinare reported that a low-pressure area over the coastal waters of Corcuera, Romblon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the easterlies will affect the eastern part of the country.

The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, and Bulacan.
“But we can see that it still has cloud formations that will bring overcast skies with light rains, accompanied by lightning and thunder, over much of Mimaropa, as well as the Bicol Region and parts of Central Luzon,” Badrinare.
The LPA has a slim chance of strengthening into a tropical cyclone. It is expected to dissipate in the West Philippine Sea by Thursday (June 19).

“Sa ngayon mababa pa rin ang tsansa nitong maging isang bagyo at sa susunod na mga araw, inaasahan na matutunaw din ito,” weather specialist Glaiza Escullar said.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Isabela, Quirino, and Aurora. Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon. The easterlies will bring similar weather over Visayas and Mindanao.
Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
