Pres. Bongbong Marcos Gives Message on Independence Day Anniversary Celebration 2025
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President called on the Filipinos for a country worthy of the heroes’ sacrifice in his Independence Day message.
In the long list of the Philippine Holidays 2025, one of the regular holidays is June 12 when the Independence Day is celebrated. Today, the Filipinos commemorate the 127th anniversary of the first raising of the Philippine flag in Kawit, Cavite since the country obtained its freedom.
Countless lives of Filipino heroes were lost in the fight for the country’s freedom. With today being a regular holiday in the Philippines for the national commemoration of an important event in the history, in which its fruits remains evident now, the Filipino people have the chance to join programs as both classes and work are suspended.
For decades now, the sitting president gives a message for the Independence Day celebration. This Independence Day 2025 celebration, Pres. Bongbong Marcos called on the Filipino people for a country that is worthy of the sacrifices of the Filipino heroes to achieve the nation’s liberty.
In his message for the Independence Day celebration 2025, Pres. Bongbong Marcos cited that, “today, we celebrate one of the proudest milestones of our history — the moment our flag was first unfurled in the sky on that eventful day of 1898 in Kawit, Cavite. The journey to reach that moment was long, arduous, and costly, requiring the sacrifice of selfless individuals for over a century. Because of their heroism, we now enjoy the rights and privileges reserved for those who have a country they can call their own”.
Marcos Jr. also stated that the fight of the heroes have inspired generations after to offer themselves to the causes that would benefit the societal welfare and humanity. According to him, it has also encouraged many individuals to dedicate their diligence and devotion to their fields for the nation’s glory.
“That is why we must value our heritage by striving for excellence in preserving our rights and freedoms ensuring that they are used solely for the improvement and protection of our citizenry. So, let use continue to bear the vigor of our ancestors as we defend our nation against those who seek to diminish the strength of our people,” the President said in his statement.
In his message for the Independence Day 2025 celebration, Pres. Bongbong Marcos called on the Filipino people to honor the priceless freedom won by our ancestors by building a nation that is worthy of their sacrifice. The President hopes that the Filipino people will continue to enhance their abilities and character for the benefit of the nation.
“Through our collective efforts, we will forge the path of progress, stability, and prosperity for our present and future generations,” Marcos stated.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos ended his Independence Day 2025 message saying: “Mabuhay ang malayang Pilipino! Mabuhay ang Bagong Pilipinas!”.
Bagong Pilipinas has become the slogan of the Marcos administration. However, amid the rift between her the President, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has previously criticized the Bagong Pilipinas slogan of the Marcos administration.
