Several students in Malilipot, Albay were injured after being hit by a motorcycle while waiting to cross the road.
On Sunday afternoon (June 1, 2025), a group of students from San Jose Community College (SJCC) in Malilipot, Albay, were injured after being hit by a motorcycle. The incident took place in Barangay San Jose, Albay.
According to initial reports, the students were standing near the roadside, preparing to cross when a motorcycle suddenly sped through and hit them. The impact caused several students to fall and suffer injuries.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Malilipot quickly arrived at the scene and provided first aid. The injured students were then brought to the nearest medical facility for treatment.
Barriers were reportedly placed on both sides of the road to remind motorists to slow down, especially in areas near schools. Despite these safety measures, the accident still happened.
San Jose Community College has called on the injured students to reach out to their Student Affairs Office for assistance in filing a legal complaint. The school emphasized the importance of holding the driver accountable to prevent similar accidents from happening again.

The community is now urging drivers to be more careful, especially in school zones where students often cross. Parents and school officials are also asking for stronger enforcement of traffic rules to keep children safe.
