Jayda Avanzado is ready to showcase her talent
Singer-actress Jayda Avanzado wanted to prove that she was more than just a “nepo baby.”
Jayda is the daughter of showbiz couple Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza. Following in the footsteps of their parents, Jayda also ventured into music, aside from acting.
Just recently, Jayda signed a contract with Viva Artist Agency. The young celebrity wanted to be known outside the shadows of her parents.
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Jayda Avanzado aspires to stand on her own in the entertainment industry. “Well, yung pag-start ko from zero, conscious decision ko talaga yun, As you are all aware, siyempre, with my parents and my family being in the business, of course, alam ko na it comes with a perception. I mean, di ba, may tinatawag na nepo baby?” she said.
It is known to many showbiz children that it can be difficult to establish their own names in the entertainment industry and not be compared to their parents.
In Jayda’s part, she wants to be known based on what she has pursued. “Gusto ko po talaga to work for my place in this industry just as my parents did. Kasi for me, I honor their legacy and the mark that they’ve left on this industry by taking a path of my own,” she said.
On the other hand, the 22-year-old star admitted that it is an advantage to have popular parents. Because of this, she was able to learn the lessons based on what her parents went through with their careers.
Jayda Avanzado shared that her parents have imparted vital lessons to her. It was like a first-hand lesson for her showbiz career. “I think that’s the best part. I have two very important people in my life that I’m able to share my experiences with,” she said.
