Elderly Man Dies at Mall Parking Incident in Baguio City
An elderly man has tragically lost his life in a parking incident at a popular shopping mall in Baguio City.
On May 22, 2025, a 75-year-old man dies in a parking area of a shopping mall in Baguio City. The victim from Central Ambiong, Benguet, was reportedly walking through the parking lot when he was hit by a Ford Ranger pickup truck that was trying to park.
The incident took place at around 1:35 p.m., according to a report submitted by the Baguio City Police Office. The victim was immediately assisted by the mall’s emergency team and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Authorities identified the driver involved and placed him in police custody shortly after the incident. Investigators from the Traffic Enforcement Unit began preparing the necessary documents to file a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
