According to Alden Richards, he hit his rock bottom last year.
Kapuso actor Alden Richards revealed that the previous year, 2024, for him was his lowest and opened up about how he greatly struggled.
Everyone struggles and goes through a phase where they hit the rock bottom of their lives. It feels as if everything and everyone around you is drowning you. Like, there’s no way of swimming your way up to breathe and break free from the things that have been pulling you down.
During an interview that aired on 24 Oras, Kapuso actor Alden Richards revealed how difficult last year was for him. It was his lowest year, which he described as his rock bottom. It took him six months to get over that phase. What he went through was unknown to others, and he avoided discussing it with other people as he didn’t want to display his weakness.
He said, “That was—hindi naman siya clinically diagnosed, but that was depression at its finest. That was depression.”
The actor also reflected on his tendency to be overgenerous to other people. He tends to put what others need first before his, and last year was his breaking point.
He said, “Ang nangyari sa akin, paglingon ko don sa timba ko, wala na palang natira sa akin. And then that broke me to a million pieces.”
This period in his life clouded him with negative thoughts, filled him with hard-to-process thoughts and emotions, and neglected the people who loved him. It was hard to be present at that time, when he couldn’t even get a hold of himself and control his mindset.
