Presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa following the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to her, the actions of the government on the arrest and the transfer of Duterte’s custody to the International Criminal Court (ICC) is against her principles and ideas in life.

Sen. Marcos was endorsed by Vice Pres. Sara Duterte amid the political feud between her and the President. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte boldly campaigned on the Filipinos not to vote the candidates supported by Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Last Saturday, the Commission on Elections or COMELEC officially proclaimed the winners of the 2025 Senatorial Race. Six (6) candidates from the Alyansa secured seats in the Senate. According to Pres. Marcos, even if not all bets of the grand alliance won, their work and mission continue.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos aired his realizations from the results of the 2025 Elections. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive claimed that he has two (2) conclusions from the outcome of the elections — the Filipinos are tired of politics and they are disappointed by the service of the government.

“I have two conclusions dito sa eleksyon.

Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos admitted that his administration is focused on the long-term projects why the Filipinos allegedly do not feel the government’s work. He stressed that the government was not able to give enough attention to small matters.

Marcos Jr. vowed to improve the delivery of the basic services of the government. He stressed that big projects really take long. Recently, amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also said he is willing to reconcile with the Duterte family.
