Outgoing Las Piñas District Rep. Camille Villar Wins Senator
CAMILLE VILLAR – The daughter of Manny and Cynthia Villar expressed her gratitude to VP Sara Duterte after she was elected as senator.
In the 2025 Midterm Elections, Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsed different senatorial slates. Marcos Jr. endorsed the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago which he called his “dream team”.
According to Pres. Bongbong Marcos, all the senatorial bets of the grand alliance have an experience in public service. He stressed that he will be a lucky president if all candidates of the Alyansa wins in the midterm polls.
Outgoing Las Piñas district Rep. Camille Villar is not only endorsed by Marcos Jr.’s Alyansa but as well as Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. She is the daughter of business giant Manny Villar and Sen. Cynthia Villar. There was an attempt to switch positions between her and the Senator.
However, Sen. Cynthia Villar failed in her bid for Las Piñas district congresswoman. She lost to an incumbent city councilor, Mark Anthony Santos, after decades of their family holding the post.
Meanwhile, as for the senatorial bid of Camille Villar, the outgoing Las Piñas district Representative won. She ranked 10th among the 12 winning senatorial candidates in the 2025 Elections. Here are the Top 12 winning senators in the recent election:

Six (6) candidates from the Marcos-backed Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago won a seat in the Senate while five (5) senatorial bets of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte won in the election. Recently, newly-elected Sen. Camilla Villar thanked Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
In a post on Facebook, the newly-elected Senator expressed her gratitude to the Vice President for standing with her all the way. She also stated that her friendship and support mean a lot to her and her family.
“Maraming maraming salamat, VP Inday Sara, for standing with me all the way. Your friendship and support—both personal and political—mean the world to me and my family. Walang iwanan, just like we’ve always promised each other. Here’s to standing together for the country and the people we’ve both pledged to serve,” Villar stated.
Sen. Camille Villar was emotional during her proclamation. Former Senate Pres. Manny Villar was present at the proclamation ceremony.
