Authorities Arrest Man for Allegedly Taking Advantage of Woman Seeking for Help
A man was arrested in Cainta, Rizal for allegedly taking advantage of a woman who had come to him for help.
On May 14, 2025, the police authorities arrest a 32-year-old man after being accused of taking advantage of a woman who had come to him for help. He is considered one of the most wanted individuals in the CALABARZON region due to a serious complaint filed against him and is now in police custody.
According to the Cainta police, the incident took place in December 2022. The 21-year-old woman was looking for her live-in partner, who had been missing for three days. She approached the suspect, a friend of her partner, hoping he could assist in the search.
He invited her to his place, and trusting him, she went. Once she arrived, the suspect allegedly used the situation to take advantage of her. The woman shared that she was threatened and became too afraid to resist. She had believed the suspect genuinely intended to help, but things turned out differently.
The Antipolo Regional Trial Court Branch 141 issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest on May 7, 2025. A week later, a tracker team located him in Barangay Sto. Domingo and brought him in.
The man claimed that what happened between them was mutual and that she came to him willingly. He also expressed a desire to be released, saying he did nothing wrong. However, police revealed that he had previously been jailed for drug and gambling offenses.
He is now held at the Cainta Municipal Police Station and faces a serious legal case. Authorities confirmed that no bail has been recommended for his temporary release as the case proceeds in court.
