The “Magic 12” of Halalan 2025 will be proclaimed this Saturday.
HALALAN 2025 – The 12 senators who won in the midterm polls will be proclaimed this Saturday, according to the COMELEC chairman.
Commission on Elections Chairman George Erwin Garcia previously revealed that this year’s midterm polls had 81.65% voter turnout, which was the highest in the history of midterm polls in the country. In numbers, 68.43 million people were eligible to vote this year, and a total of 55.87 million cast their votes.

The 2025 election was accordingly close to the record-high voter turnout in the 2022 presidential elections. To recall, in the 2022 presidential polls, the turnout rate was 82.5%.
“Kabataan ang malaking factor ng mataas na voter turnout sa bansa. Base sa inisyal na pagtingin, dumagsa ang mga kabataan sa pagboto. ‘Yung boses nila ay gusto nilang mapakinggan ng sambayanan… Ako, naniniwala ako na ‘yung boto ng youth, matters talaga,” Garcia said.
With regards to the proclamation of the “Magic 12,” the COMELEC chairman shared that the proclamation would be on Saturday, May 17. The National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) will send formal invitations on Friday afternoon.
The NBOC has already released the National Certificate of Canvass ( NCOC) with the rankings of the winning senators.
