Winning Senatorial Candidate Erwin Tulfo Speaks on Bill vs. Political Dynasty
ERWIN TULFO – The ACT-CIS Representative, one of the winning senators in the 2025 Elections, vowed to resign if the anti-political dynasty bill is passed into law.
Six (6) candidates from the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago are poised to win in the 2025 Senatorial race. The grand alliance is endorsed by the Marcos administration. During the campaign period, President Bongbong Marcos called the Alyansa bets as his “dream team”.

Prior to the 2025 Elections, Senator Bong Go and ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo emerged as the senatorial race frontrunners in a survey. Go is from the PDP-Laban while Tulfo is part of the grand alliance. Here are the senatorial bets of the Alyansa:

Aside from ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo, his brother, veteran news anchor Ben Tulfo, also ran for a seat in the Senate. The winner(s) will join their brother, Sen. Raffy Tulfo, in the upper chamber.

Ben Tulfo ranks 13th with 11,886,979 votes while Sen. Imee Marcos who is on the 12th spot has 13,038,627 votes. Recently, ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo who is one of the winning senators in the 2025 Elections spoke about political dynasty.

Based on a report on Inquirer, ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo claimed that he will support the bill against political dynasty. According to him, someone already filed the said bill so it would be a duplicate if he will also file a similar bill. Meanwhile, he is willing to be a co-author.
“I will be supporting [it]. Someone already planned to file it. It will only be repetitive if I lodge a similar measure. If need be, I will co-author,” Tulfo said.
Based on the report, ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo also said he would resign if the anti-political dynasty bill is passed into law. Furthermore, he vowed to convince his relatives to step down from their positions once political dynasty is prohibited by law.
“If passed, I will resign,” he said.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte who also comes from a political dynasty said she would also support an anti-political dynasty law.
