In an interview, VP Sara Duterte expressed her thoughts about the midterm polls.
VP SARA DUTERTE – The vice president had previously expressed what she thought about the outcome of the Halalan 2025.
According to the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Wednesday, there has been a high number of voters who exercised their right in the midterm polls. Around 68 million Filipinos were eligible to vote, and this year’s voter turnout was at 80.27 percent for Halalan 2025.

This figure is close to 83 percent voter turnout in the 2022 presidential elections, and this is accordingly remarkable as usually, there has been a huge difference between the midterm and presidential elections.
Previously, Vice President Sara Duterte aired her thoughts about it, and she expressed her disappointment at the partial and unofficial results of the Senate race. Based on the result, Bong Go led the senatorial race, and only three of the so-called “DuterTen” candidates got included in the “Magic 12.”
“While the outcome was not what we had hoped for, our commitment to the people remains unwavering. We will continue to hold the government accountable, advocate for the issues that matter, and work tirelessly to serve as a strong and constructive opposition,” she said as she also acknowledged the results of the election.

Senators Bong Go, Ronald Dela Rosa, and Sagip Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta are ranked Top 1, 3, and 6, respectively. Moreover, the Duterte factor also did not work in Bohol, as all the candidates she endorsed in Bohol province lost in the May 12 midterm elections.
She also added that this is a “renewed beginning” and encouraged the public to join her in building a powerful and principled opposition to build a future that is fair, inclusive, and just.
