In the Halalan 2025, more than 18,000 local positions are filled: (Provinces) 82 governors, 82 vice governors, 840 board members; (Cities) 149 mayors, 149 vice mayors, 1,690 councilors; (Municipalities) 1,493 mayors, 1,493 vice mayors, 11,948 councilors; 254 representatives; (BARMM Parliament) 65 members, party representatives.
With 99.35% precincts reporting as of May 14, 2025, 3:30 PM, the partial and unofficial results reflected that Mikee Morada, with 139,430 votes, is leading the vice mayoral race of Lipa City, Batangas.
Taking to Instagram, his wife, Alex Gonzaga, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the people who trusted and supported her husband by casting their votes for him. She shared a series of campaign photos and a touching message dedicated to her husband.
“Thank you Lord Jesus! Thank you po mga Lipeño!” she began, and went on to narrate their journey. The year 2025 started with a heartbreak for them, but as months went by, better things unfolded right before them. She saw how her husband loved being with the people and in helping them.
She then praised his humility and dedication to public service, underscoring his sincerity when reaching out to people for their support.
Alex added, “Kaya naman, kasama ang buong pamilya, buong puso ka naming sinuportahan at sinamahan, kahit hindi ka humihingi ng tulong.”
She is proud as a wife, and did not forget to thank their supporters.
Meanwhile, In the congressional race, Richard Gomez (Leyte, fourth district), Arjo Atayde (Quezon City, first district), and Jolo Revilla (Cavite, first district) have a sure win. For the gubernatorial and vice gubernatorial races, Vilma Santos won by a landslide vote as governor of Batangas, while her running mate and her son, Luis Manzano, failed. Dodo Mandanas beat Manzano by over 200,000 votes.
