Juan Carlos Campo Atayde was born on November 5, 1990, to actress Sylvia Sanchez and Art Atayde who is a half-Spanish businessman. He has three siblings, Gela, Xavi, and Ria who is an actress.

In the 2022 elections, Arjo ran as an independent for the position of representative in Quezon City’s 1st congressional district. He defeated his opponent Onyx Crisologo with 66.85 percent of the votes.
The actor-politician joined the Nacionalista Party, being sworn in by fellow Representative Sandro Marcos back on October 8, 2022.
