Bam Aquino On Senatorial Race Partial, Unofficial Result: “Nagulat kami with the high standing.”

Based on partial and unofficial results sourced from the Commission on Elections Media Server for the Halalan 2025, former senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan appear to make a comeback as they have made their way to the top half of the so-called “Magic 12” in the 2025 senatorial race.

Senator Bong Go is leading the unofficial result, followed by Aquino, and Pangilinan is in fifth place with 14,879,484 votes based on unofficial results aggregated from Comelec data as of May 13, 2025, 12:01 AM, and from 77.65% of Election Returns.

This win did not come easily, as in surveys, they often trail behind administration-backed candidates. Aquino is the principal author of Republic Act 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, and now calls for its full implementation. Pangilinan’s platform, on the other hand, is centered on agriculture and food security.

With his high standing in the senatorial race, Aquino expressed his surprise in an interview. They did not expect the result and said, “Nagulat kami with the high standing.”

In a post, he thanked everyone who voted for him, supported him, and believed in his vision for the country.

He wrote:
