PAGASA Says LPA and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Thursday, (May 8, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that a low-pressure area and easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the country.

The weather disturbance has a low chance of becoming a typhoon. It is expected to dissipate within 24 hours.
“This LPA is still not expected to become a typhoon and is likely to dissipate in the next 24 hours,” said Estareja.
The low-pressure area was last spotted at 80 kilometers east-northeast of Cuyo, Palawan.

The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula.
“However, it will still bring rain over much of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and northern Mindanao,” he added.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Caraga and the Davao Region.
