Karla Estrada Confronts Ogie Diaz in Honest Interview
KARLA ESTRADA – Celebrity mom Karla Estrada didn’t hold back in her interview with Ogie Diaz, asking with a laugh, ‘Naka-magkano ka sa content mo?’
In an interview, actress and television host Karla Estrada opened up about a time she felt hurt by entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz. The issue arose from the way Diaz discussed sensitive matters involving her son, actor Daniel Padilla, in public. While the situation caused emotional strain, Karla pointed out that she chooses to value their long-time friendship over any lingering resentment.
When Ogie directly asked if she had been upset with him, Karla responded honestly. “Of course! Siyempre may mga salitang hindi nakakatuwa. Pero mas malawak ang pang-unawa ko, eh… pinagkatiwala ko sa’yo ang anak ko na maging ninong,” she said. Her candid remarks showed both her vulnerability and maturity in managing the situation.
Despite the misunderstanding, Karla emphasized that their bond remains strong. She shared that she doesn’t believe in superficial friendships and treasures relationships that are rooted in laughter and sincerity. “Hindi ako naniniwala sa mababaw na pagkakaibigan… kapag nagkikita tayo, lagi tayong nagtatawanan,” she said. At one point, she playfully remarked, “Infernes, ‘yung buong pangyayaring iyon, naka-magkano ka sa content mo?” — a comment that brought laughter from them both.
The conversation also revisited Karla’s effort to bridge the gap between Ogie and Daniel at a previous ABS-CBN Ball. Ogie admitted he wasn’t ready to make amends then, while Daniel remained distant.
When the topic shifted to the much-talked-about breakup between Daniel and Kathryn Bernardo, Karla admitted it was a difficult time for her as a mother. However, she expressed full confidence in Daniel’s strength and ability to cope. “Alam ko ang kakayanan ng anak ko bilang tao,” she asserted.
Karla Estrada’s openness during the interview shed light on the challenges of navigating personal issues in the public eye, while also reflecting her resilience as both a parent and a loyal friend.
