Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously claimed that the Alyansa is his dream team. According to him, he will be a lucky president if all the candidates under the grand alliance will win in the May 2025 Elections saying they all have an experience in public service.

Aside from the President, presidential cousin and House Speaker Martin Romualdez also campaigns for Marcos’ Alyansa team. He even called on the Filipinos to vote straight so all the bets of the grand alliance will win in the upcoming elections.

However, amid the controversy on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos left the Alyansa. According her, the recent actions of the government do not match her ideals and principles in life. She raised questions on the government allegedly surrendering a Filipino citizen to foreign authorities.

The Alyansa is left with 11 candidates for senator and its campaign manager, Toby Tiangco, said Camille Villar remains part of the team. The clarification came after Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered an investigation on the Villar-owned PrimeWater due to complaints of alleged insufficient water supply.

Here are the senatorial bets of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago:

Recently, former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Benhur Abalos spoke on the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago as well as his call to the Filipino voters. Based on a report on Inquirer, he called on the Filipinos to choose the ones who have a heart and who knows what to do.

“Piliin natin ang may puso, may alam, at may paninindigan. Tandaan n’yo: ang Alyansa ay Pro-Pilipinas,” he said.

Based on the report, Benhur Abalos further called on the Filipinos to remain vigilant and to elect leaders who will not allow foreign influence in the elections.

“Ang Pilipinas ay para sa Pilipino. Walang sinumang dayuhan ang pwedeng makialam sa eleksyon dito. Once mangyari ‘yon it is a form of control. Gusto nila maimpluwensyahan at kontrolin ang ating bansa. Walang sinumang Pilipino ang dapat pumayag dito,” Abalos said.

The senatorial candidate laid out a reform platform which targets the easing of the cost of living and boosting local communities. Based on the report, he also promised to push for the removal of the Value Added Tax (VAT) on electricity.

Ahead of the Elections, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the Filipinos not to vote for Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ candidates. The Vice President is endorsing the senatorial bids of Sen. Imee Marcos, Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar, and the PDP-Laban.
