The first son of Kris Aquino is active this campaign season
Josh Aquino, the son of celebrity Kris Aquino with her former partner actor Phillip Salvador, is campaigning for Makati mayoral candidate Nancy Binay.
Kris’s family has been in the political arena for many years. Her father was the late Senator Ninoy Aquino and her mother was the late President Cory Aquino.
Her brother Noynoy Aquino served as the Philippine President from 2010 to 2016. Bam Aquino, her cousin, has served as a Senator and is now running for the same position.
Previously, Kris Aquino and her second son Bimby Aquino with her former husband James Yap, talked about politics. Bimby is entertaining the possibility of entering the political arena and Kris is ready to support him.
While that political plan is not yet happening, Kris’s eldest son Josh ventured to campaign for the candidacy of Nancy Binay in Makati.
Based on the article in Inquirer, Binay has been a longtime friend of the Aquinos. Nancy Binay is running against her brother-in-law, Makati Rep. Luis Campos, who is the husband of her sister, Makati Mayor Abby Binay, who is now running for senator.
In a recent Facebook Live, she shared snippets of their motorcade on Thursday morning, May 1, in Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati. At one point, Binay introduced Josh. “Hello. How are you? … Vote for Nancy [and] Binay,” Josh happily said.
To recall, Kris Aquino expressed gratitude to the Binays last year, especially her close friend Anne Binay Alcantara for allowing her son Josh to celebrate Mother’s Day with them.
Meanwhile, Kris shared in a recent interview her dream for his son Bimby. She wanted her son to study abroad because she was not able to do that when she was young.
