The Kapuso actress was the star who was unfazed by rejections. She started young in the industry, and as the breadwinner of her family, she worked hard to have a place in the entertainment industry. Rejection after rejection came, and opportunities were brought by not giving up. This eventually made her one of GMA-7’s prime teen actresses until she transitioned to doing mature roles as an actress.

She was born Kyline Nicole Alcantara in Ocampo, Camarines Sur, on September 28, 2002. She has two older brothers, namely Robin and Kent, and their parents are Rowena Alcantara and Butch Manga. However, when she was just four years old, their parents separated.

However, she hadn’t known about this until she was 12 years old.

The actress studied at Saint Francis of Assisi College in Las Piñas City when she was in elementary school. For the first two years of her high school, she went to The Academy of Christian Excellence Montessori, and later on, shifted to an alternative learning system when she transferred to Exodus Elementary School in Cainta, Laguna.

She took up BS Tourism Management at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, which was also in Las Piñas City.

She started when she was just seven years old. She and her mother traveled a long way to audition for ABS-CBN’s kiddie gag show Goin’ Bulilit, but she missed it. Despite missing the chance, she earned attention, and her talent was discovered. She was given roles in various TV projects.

In 2010, she joined Star Circle Quest for the Next Kiddie Superstar. Her batchmates were Janine Berdin, Brenna Villaflor, and Clarence Delgado. She made it to the Top 10 but got eliminated.

Her first break in ABS-CBN was in 2013 for the adaptation of Annaliza. She was given the child-kontrabida role named Arlene. This is the same series where she honed her talent and skills, having been able to work with Zanjoe Marudo, Kaye Abad, Denise Laurel, and director Theodore “Ted” Boborol.

In 2017, she transferred to GMA. She was initially hesitant, but she gave it a go. She starred in Kambal, Karibal. This project gave her her first acting award.
