Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Endorses Sen. Imee Marcos amid Feud with PBBM
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos allegedly disowned Senator Imee Marcos.
Upon the return of Vice Pres. Duterte to the Philippines from The Hague, she immediately met with her lawyers for her impeachment trial. Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero previously proposed July 30 as the tentative start of the trial.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that her lawyers are “more than confident” to win the impeachment trial. According to her, she is most confident with her lawyers. The Vice President recently attended several campaign sorties to endorse her bets.
Duterte campaigns for the #Dutert10, the senatorial slate of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s PDP Laban, as well as Sen. Imee Marcos and Las Piñas City Representative Camille Villar. She is visibly in good terms with Marcos despite her feud with her brother.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos earned blame from the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The Chief Executive claimed that every single necessary procedure was followed in the arrest of the former President and the government only did its job.
Sen. Imee Marcos opened a Senate investigation on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Following her return to the country, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsed Sen. Imee Marcos through the viral “ITIM” campaign ad. In the said campaign video, the Vice President claimed that black is allegedly the current color of the country due to poverty and criminality.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte joined a campaign caucus of Manila mayoralty candidate Isko Moreno wherein she endorsed Sen. Imee Marcos. Based on a post on social media, it is unclear if it is a joke or not but the Vice President said that Sen. Marcos was allegedly disowned by her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
“Kapatid niya ang presidente ng Pilipinas. Ang problema nito, Maam, nagsabi na ang kapatid niya na hindi daw niya kapatid ito, Maam,” the Vice President said based on the post.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also apologized to the Filipino people for endorsing Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to her, she accepts the apology of Sen. Imee Marcos for convincing her turn for vice president in 2022.
Crimes against humanity has a high standard of evidence. They have eye witnesses, videos and statements. The former president will be convicted and will never return. His daughter’s crimes to not rise to the level of her father’s. The ICC does not care about Philippine Politics. Wish we could ship Trump to the ICC. No warrant yet but there will be.
