Lady Customer Shares Near-Expired Yakult Purchase

Recently, E Jlyn Mariano, a Facebook user, shared her experience with a Yakult drink she had just bought, only to find out it was about to expire the next day. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
The woman explained that she only noticed the expiry date after taking a sip. As someone who regularly drinks Yakult, she immediately sensed something was off with the taste. It was unusually sour, prompting her to check the label. That’s when she discovered the drink was one day away from its expiration.
Mariano took another sip to be sure, but the sour taste confirmed her suspicion. She remembered a previous experience where her partner had also bought Yakult from the same store.
That time, the bottles weren’t even chilled, which raised her concern about how the drinks were being stored.
Because of this, she warned her partner not to buy from that store again. In her post, she asked others if such a product could still be returned or exchanged. More importantly, she worried that other customers might unknowingly purchase the same batch of Yakult without checking the date.

“Huli na ng mapansin ko toh. Paexpire na pla toh bukas pero binenta pa rin. Umiinom ako ng yakult kaya alam ko ang lasa pero eto unang higop ko pa lang ibinuga ko kaagad kasi maasim na. Humigop pa Ako ulit just to make sure pero Maasim talaga Yun pala pa expire na bukas. Nung nakaraan din bumili na nman Ang partner ko ng yakult sa tindahan na un, pero ung yakult hnd malamig, ung normal lang na nakastock. Kaya binalaan ko na partner ko na wag ng bibili sa tindahan na un.
