He got hurt because he was not able to walk her down the aisle, and his brother, Gene Padilla, also attested to the shabby treatment they were given at the wedding. However, Marjorie Barretto came forward and clarified each issue, point by point, without the drama. She slammed them for their twisted stories and false narratives.
Days following the wedding, Gene shared a video of them online. They were buying food from a stall, and what was supposed to be a light exchange of banter caught a lot of people intrigued because of their wordplay.
“10 pesos? Sayo na yan,” says Dennis to the cashier, and Gene fueled saying, “Sayo na yan, mayaman kami.”
The latter then chimed in, “Kapag galing kami sa mga gatherings eh nagiging mayaman kami. Iba yung mga pinupuntahan naming gatherings, kala mo ha.”
He was then asked if he was going to attend the reception, and his answer was, “Hindi na sa reception, deception, mali ka ng ano.”
