Dennis Padilla No Longer Sees Reconciliation w/ Kids: “Bibitbitin ko na lang ‘to hanggang mamatay ako”

Actor Dennis Padilla Claims he was Treated as “Guest” at Daughter’s Wedding

DENNIS PADILLA – The actor claimed that he no longer sees reconciliation with his children with Marjorie Barretto following his daughter Claudia’s wedding.

Recently, the third daughter of former actress Marjorie Barretto, Claudia Barretto, officially tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo. They had a very intimate church wedding ceremony that gathered only their closest families and friends.

Claudia is the second daughter of Dennis Padilla and Marjorie Barretto. The former couple also has another daughter, actress Julia Barretto, and a son, Leon. The Barretto siblings have two (2) other siblings in their mother’s side, Dani Barretto-Panlilio, Marjorie’s daughter with Kier Legaspi, and Erich, her youngest daughter with former Mayor Recom Echiverri.

All the children of Marjorie were present at Claudia’s wedding with Basti. It was also the first time in several years that the public witnessed the presence of Dennis at an event involving his children. However, the said big day of the couple is now surrounded by issues after Dennis Padilla claimed that he was treated as a visitor at Claudia’s wedding.

Dennis claimed that he was allegedly not part of the entourage and had no any role at the wedding of Claudia. He attended the event with his mother and his brother, Gene Padilla.

Recently, in an interview with Ogie Diaz, Dennis Padilla expressed that he no longer sees reconciliation with his kids. According to the actor, the wedding of Claudia was the breaking point and he is tired of trying.

“Ayoko na, surrender na. Finished. Tatay na lang nila ako pero bringing back the relationship, wala na siguro,” the actor said.

Dennis also claimed that he just turned from the altar so his mother would not see that he is tearing up. According to him, he asked why he was not given a more significant role at the wedding day of his daughter but he was only told to “follow the program”.

Dennis Padilla said that he was not able to do anything as he was told to abide by the program that did not include him in the entourage. He also claimed that prior to the wedding, Claudia has called him telling him that the wedding will not push through.

“Pakiramdam ko lang kaya sinabi niya na hindi tuloy ang kasal kasi ayaw na niya akong papuntahin,” he said.

According to the veteran comedian, if his children with Marjorie cannot accept him, he can no longer accept their treatment towards him. He stressed that he will focus his energy on his other children.

Dennis Padilla also cited that he was never publicly acknowledged by his children saying he was never featured or mentioned in their social media posts. According to him, not one of his children has posted his photo on their Instagram accounts.

“Parang hindi na lalambot ang puso ko sa mga anak ko… I think I will carry it to my funeral. Bibitbitin ko na lang ‘to hanggang mamatay ako. Ayoko na, napagod na ako,” the actor said.

Amid the issue gathering different opinions, Dennis’ brother, Gene Padilla, defended the actor. He also called out Julia, Claudia, and Leon.
