Sen. Imee Marcos Officially Not Part of Pres. Bongbong Marcos-led Alyansa?
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President changed the chant of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago during the campaign rally after his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, left the team.
The May 2025 Election is fast approaching and the different political parties and election candidates are busy in their campaign rallies. The campaign sorties are taking place left and right and there are incumbent officials who campaign for their bets in the upcoming poll.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos backs the senatorial slate of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago which he called his “dream team”. The Chief Executive even leads the endorsement of the senators whose candidacies are supported by the grand alliance.
The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) which is Marcos’ political party, the Lakas-CMD, the National Unity Party (NUP), the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and the Nacionalista Party compose the Alyansa.

Previously, before the political turmoil in the Philippines due to the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the grand alliance endorses 12 senatorial candidates. Here is a list of the Alyansa’s senatorial bets:
- Sen. Imee Marcos
- Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos
- Sen. Francis Tolentino
- Sen. Pia Cayetano
- former Sen. Manny Pacquiao
- Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Sen. Lito Lapid
- former Senator Panfilo Lacson
- Sen. Ramon ”Bong” Revilla Jr.

However, following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte last March 11, Sen. Imee Marcos skipped the Alyansa campaign rallies in Tacloban and Cavite. According to the Senator, she cannot accept what was done to the former President and she wants to investigate the matter.

Sen. Imee Marcos led the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in investigating the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. At the Alyansa campaign rally in Cavite, Pres. Bongbong Marcos did not mention Senator Imee. It was not clear if it was done with an intent or not because the Chief Executive endorsed Camille Villar who was also absent during that time.
Sen. Imee Marcos officially left the Alyansa. According to her, she will just join the local candidates in campaigning. Recently, the team had their first time to campaign since the Presidential Sister left the administration’s senatorial slate.
Based on a report on GMA News, Pres. Bongbong Marcos changed the chant of the Alyansa during its recent campaign in Antipolo, Rizal. Previously, he would mention the number of the senatorial bets of the grand alliance in ending his campaign speech.
“Labingdalawa, Alyansa!” Marcos Jr. usually said in ending his speech during the previous campaign rallies of the Alyansa.
Based on the report, during the Alyansa campaign rally in Antipolo, Rizal, Pres. Bongbong Marcos ended his speech chanting, “Alyansa all the way!” Here’s what he said:
“Kaya sa Mayo po, ‘wag na kayong magdalawang isip. Alyansa all the way! Alyansa sa bagong Pilipinas!” Marcos said.
