PAGASA Says 2 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that ITCZ and easterlies will bring isolated rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (April 4, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect southern Mindanao while the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rains over the rest of the country.

The Northeasterly Windflow will affect Northern Luzon. The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Surigao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The Northeasterly Windflow will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

However, Hinatuan City in Surigao del Sur will experience the highest heat index at a dangerous level of 45°C.
Heat index of 42°C to 51°C, can cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion. Long exposure to the sun may also lead to heat stroke.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
PAGASA also placed eight areas under the dangerous level of heat index:

- Coron, Palawan
- San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
- Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
- Virac, Catanduanes
- Iloilo City, Iloilo
- Dumangas, Iloilo
- Butuan City, Agusan del Norte
