Vlogger Boy Tapang Arrested for Alleged Physical Abuse of Live-in Partner
The popular vlogger Boy Tapang is currently in police custody following accusations of physical abuse by his live-in partner.
According to reports, the 21-year-old victim finally gathered the courage to file a complaint after enduring repeated physical abuse. The incident took place in Brgy. Daanlungsod, Alcoy, around midnight on April 1, 2025.
Police Captain Gerry Magsayo, officer-in-charge of the Alcoy Police Station, confirmed that the vlogger Ronie Suan was arrested after the victim sought police assistance.
The victim, Cristina Morales, reported that their argument started when Suan found a vape among her belongings. The confrontation resulted into an alleged physical attack. She sustained bruises, particularly around her ribs, prompting her to report the incident to the authorities.
“Sumala sa iyahang live-in partner dili ra daw karon nga time murag sige na daw ni…Selos kuno ang hinungdan,” Magsayo said.
Further investigations revealed that this was not the first instance of abuse. Morales disclosed that she had been suffering in silence for a long time, even during her pregnancy, due to fear and emotional attachment to Suan. However, she ultimately decided to break her silence and seek help.
Following his arrest, Suan cooperated with the authorities and did not resist. He has undergone inquest proceedings and has been officially charged with violating Republic Act No. 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
The court has set a bail of P3,000 for his temporary release.
