Ai-Ai delas Alas went through a tough 2024
Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas said that she has moved on and she is ready to welcome the next chapter in her life.
Ai-Ai had a tough 2024. During her birthday, she confirmed on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda that she and Gerald Sibayan broke up after ten years of being together. Gerald was in the US while she was in the Philippines when he sent a message to her saying that he wanted the breakup.
Just recently, Ai-Ai shared that Gerald cheated on him and that he planned this entire thing. She also shared that when she returned to the US, Gerald was no longer in their home. The comedienne decided to file for divorce, and because of this, Gerald’s petition for a green card was revoked.
She explained why she withdrew her petition for her estranged husband’s green card. Initially, Ai-Ai said that she would not withdraw it. However, because she filed for divorce, she needed to be truthful with the immigration regarding the status of her relationship with Gerald.
In a recent social media post, based on the article in Bandera, Ai-Ai delas Alas expressed positivity and optimism for what could possibly come her way.
“As I MOVE FORWARD, there’s no looking back. I’ve CLOSED that chapter, and while the past shaped me, it’s time to embrace the FUTURE with hope and healing,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
She also expressed that she is ready to face the next chapter with a feeling of gratitude for everyone who showed support for her.
Meanwhile, amid the tough times in Ai-Ai’s life, she received love and support from her fans and her friends in the entertainment industry, such as comedian-public servant Arnel Ignacio.
