Groups of Men Elicited Criticisms After Engaging in Pool Rage at Bulacan Resort
POOL RAGE – Several groups of men caused chaos at a resort in Calumpit, Bulacan after engaging in a brawl inside a swimming pool.
Pool rage is a term used to describe aggressive or violent behavior that happens in or around a swimming pool. Similar to road rage, which involves anger and fights while driving, pool rage occurs when tempers flare in a swimming pool setting, often due to minor incidents like accidental bumping, splashing, or staring.
Recently, the Facebook page “MotoVentour” shared a video of a group of men who ended up throwing punches at each other while inside a swimming pool. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.

According to Calumpit Police Chief Jonathan Meru, the men involved in the fight did not know each other. One group was from Tondo, while the other was from Quiapo, both in Manila. Surprisingly, alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
Instead, the conflict started from something as simple as accidental bumping and intense staring while swimming.
The video of the brawl shows a security guard blowing his whistle in an attempt to stop the fight, but the men continued exchanging punches. Eventually, one group decided to step out of the pool, which ended the commotion. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.
While fights like this are common in public places, especially where large groups gather, it serves as a reminder to keep our tempers in check. Small misunderstandings can easily turn into big problems if not handled properly.
Whether in a swimming pool or anywhere else, it’s always best to stay calm and avoid unnecessary trouble.
