Will Robin Padilla run for vice president?
Atty. Harry Roque introduced Senator Robin Padilla as “bise presidente” during a rally in the Netherlands and show support for former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Padilla is one of FPRRD’s allies who went to the Netherlands after he was arrested for his alleged crimes against humanity because of his controversial drug war during his presidency.
Duterte faced the International Criminal Court, and his allies did not waste time defending him. Many Duterte supporters have been conducting rallies to oppose this and criticize the current administration of President Bongbong Marcos.
In one of the rallies, a video of Harry Roque circulated online. The lawyer introduced Sen. Robin Padilla as “bise president” and the crowd cheered.
“Nais kong ipakilala sa inyo ang bise presidente ni Sara Duterte, walang iba kundi si Robin Padilla,” the lawyer said. It can be heard in the video clip shared by @GManicurist on X, formerly Twitter, that a woman behind the camera said, “Wow! Vice president!“
The caption of the post stated, “Ayun pala ang Plano 2028.” Apparently, Padilla will be the running mate of Vice President Sara Duterte. This received criticism from the critics of the Senator and the political group he is affiliated with. “Mapapamura at mapapa migrate ka sa ganitong pangitain!” a netizen commented.
As of this writing, Padilla and VP Sara have not said anything about this or their future political plans.

In the 2022 elections, Padilla decided to crossover to the world of politics from show business. He ran for Senator under that tandem of running mates and elected officials, President Bongbong Marcos and VP Sara Duterte. The result showed that he was the number one senator.
The actor-turned-politician is a known supporter of the Dutertes, and he showed his loyalty to them now that the former president was arrested.
