2 Customers Earn Criticisms for Attempting to Scam Restaurant for Free Food

Two customers elicited various reactions online after being caught in an attempt to scam a restaurant in order to get a free meal. 

Recently, the Facebook page Leann’s Tea House shared a video of two individuals who attempted to deceive them in order to get a free meal. The post garnered various reactions from the online community. 

In the video, the two customers can be seen placing a wet tissue inside their radish side dish. They then falsely accused the restaurant of serving contaminated food, hoping to receive a refund.

The two escalated their demands by insisting that if the restaurant did not offer a solution, they would report them to health authorities. However, their plan unraveled when staff members reviewed the CCTV footage. 

Realizing they had been caught, the culprits caused a scene before rushing out, claiming they had urgent matters to attend to. 

The restaurant management expressed their disappointment, stating that such dishonest actions are not only unfair but also harmful to their hardworking team. They reassured their customers of their commitment to serving high-quality, safe, and delicious Korean food.

The establishment urged both patrons and fellow restaurant owners to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes to prevent similar incidents.  

Leann’s Tea House encouraged customers to communicate any concerns directly with their staff, ensuring that any genuine issues can be resolved properly. The restaurant thanked the community for its support and emphasized its dedication to maintaining a trustworthy dining experience.

We recently caught on CCTV two individuals putting foreign object (a wet tissue inside their radish side dish) and then falsely claiming that our restaurant is at fault, which we find alarming and deeply concerning.  

They demanded that if we did not provide a “solution,” they would report us to the DOH. However, when they saw us reviewing the CCTV footage, they immediately made a scene and quickly left, claiming they had to be somewhere.  

This act is not only dishonest but also harmful to our team and our commitment to serving high-quality, safe, and delicious Korean food. We will not tolerate any fraudulent attempts to damage our reputation.
