Woman Bursts Into Tears While Holding Late Husband’s Photo During TJ Monterde’s Concert
A woman became emotional as she tightly held a picture frame of her late husband during a concert by Filipino singer TJ Monterde.
The concert, which took place in February 2025, was a heartbreaking experience for MJ, who had once attended the same concert with her husband, Daniel, in May 2024.
During the first concert, the couple happily sang along to their favorite songs. However, at the second event, MJ was alone, holding a framed photo of Daniel as she fought back tears. She felt the lyrics hit differently, especially the sad songs that now seemed to reflect their love story.
“kitang kita naman, yung first concert, sobrang saya, kasama ko yung asawa ko, tapos, yung pangalawa wala na eh,” she said.
Throughout the entire concert, she couldn’t stop crying, overwhelmed by memories of her husband.
“Parang mas na feel ko yung mga sad songs niya. Dala-dala ko yung frame niya. Mero akong katabi tumitingin siya sa akin, hindi ko alam kung naiiyak sia sa kanta. Kasi lahat ng songs nagmatch na sa love story nung asawa ko, kinanta kasi ni TJ eh. So, the whole concert, wala akong ginawa kundi umiyak lang,” she added.
Daniel passed away just six months before the concert due to cardiac arrest. While playing basketball, he suddenly collapsed. A referee called for MJ, and she rushed to his side, only to see foam coming from his mouth.
He was immediately brought to the hospital, but his condition worsened. Despite 30 minutes of resuscitation efforts, doctors declared him dead on arrival on August 30, 2024. MJ was in shock, unable to accept the sudden loss.
MJ pleaded with the doctors, wishing there had been time to say goodbye.

MJ and Daniel met in 2018 at a coffee shop in Pasay City, a simple moment that blossomed into a deep and lasting love. Despite their 17-year age gap, they proved that true love knows no boundaries.
TJ Monterde was their favorite artist, and his songs were always playing in their car.
Though Daniel is gone, MJ finds comfort in their shared music. She believes that as long as she listens to their songs, her husband’s memory will always be with her.
