This is the alleged reason why Vice Ganda did not accept the PGT judging stint.
VICE GANDA – The Kapamilya superstar allegedly refused to accept a judging stint in PGT Season 7 because of this reason.
The new sets of judges and hosts for the seventh season of Pilipinas Got Talent are now in action to find a new champion. The new hosts are Melai Cantiveros and Robi Domingo while the new judges are:
- “The Boss” Freddie “FMG” Garcia
- “New Gen Matinee Idol” Donny Pangilinan
- “Comedy Star For All Seasons” Eugene Domingo
- “Asia’s Superstar” Kathryn Bernardo
Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and former ABS-CBN general manager Freddie M. Garcia were the original judges of the talent show, but through the years, some changes happened. Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, and Freddie “FMG” M. Garcia were the judges of the seasons that followed after Aquino and Delas Alas left.
Only FMG remained for all the seasons and is still a judge for this upcoming new season.
According to Ogie Diaz, the judging stint was also offered to Vice; however, the superstar declined. He declined after knowing that the show would be shown on TV 5. Diaz shared that the decision had something to do with what happened in the past between TV 5 and It’s Showtime.
To recall, the Kapatid network used to air Showtime on their channel but had to let go of the ABS-CBN noontime show to create a space for the program of TVJ. The network initially offered Showtime an afternoon timeslot, but this was refused. This paved the way for Showtime to be aired in GMA.
Diaz shared in a new video, “Mula daw noon nung namuo ang tampo ni Vice, parang from then on, anything na may kinalaman sa TV 5 parang ayaw na muna ma-involved ni Vice.”
According to his source, from this incident, ever since this happened, Vice started to believe if the network did not trust them enough, there would be no reason at all to work together.
