PAGASA Says Amihan and Easterlies to Prevail Over Parts of PH

PAGASA – The state weather bureau reported that the northeast monsoon and the easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Wednesday (March 19, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Amihan and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA state weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that the northeast monsoon and the easterlies will have cloudy skies with isolated rains over Luzon and the rest of the country.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

The shear line will bring similar weather conditions over Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, Aklan, and Capiz.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and rains over Cagayan Valley, Quezon, Aurora, Apayao, and the rest of the Bicol Region.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA raised a gale warning over the western seaboard of Northern Luzon, particularly along the western coasts of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
