On Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2025, a 38-year-old man, listed as the sixth most wanted person by the Antipolo Component City Police Station for carnapping, was arrested.

According to the police investigation, the suspect sold a stolen motorcycle in January 2025 to a neighbor, who, by coincidence, was a friend of the motorcycle’s rightful owner. The victim discovered that his stolen motorcycle was being sold nearby, which led him to file a complaint against the suspect.

Witnesses pointed out the suspect’s involvement in selling the stolen vehicle, prompting the owner to seek assistance from local barangay officials. Authorities later confirmed that the motorcycle was indeed stolen.

Records revealed that the suspect had a previous theft case related to a snatching incident back in 2003.

The suspect admitted to selling the motorcycle but claimed he was unaware that it was stolen. He explained that a friend had asked him to sell it due to financial problems, and he had only tried to help without knowing the vehicle’s true ownership.
