Malacañang Palace to Sanction AWOL Police Vlogger Spreading Calls for Disorder
Malacañang Palace stated that they will not tolerate an AWOL police vlogger who has been spreading calls for disorder.
Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro made the statement during a press briefing. She was responding to the actions of Patrolman Francis Steve Tallion Fontillas, who publicly declared that he would not follow the orders of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Fontillas also shared his thoughts about the arrest and potential transfer of former President Rodrigo Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to Castro, uniformed personnel like police officers should remain neutral and avoid involvement in politics. She pointed out that regardless of who the President is, such behavior from an officer would be alarming.
“Alam po natin na kapag uniformed personnel dapat po impartial ay non-partisan—so, doon pa lamang ay may violation na siya,” Castro said.
The officer also emphasized that uniformed personnel are expected to stay impartial and non-partisan. By making political statements, Fontillas has already violated this expectation.
Malacañang has left it to the leadership of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to decide the appropriate disciplinary action against Fontillas. However, they believe that if he has violated any laws, he should be held accountable.
“So kung ano iyong nararapat na kung mayroon man pong pagdidisiplina o parusa ay siguro dapat lang pong ibigay kung naaayon sa batas,” she added.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has already filed charges against Fontillas for inciting sedition and violating the Cybercrime Prevention Act due to his controversial social media posts.

With these charges, it is now up to the authorities to determine his fate. Meanwhile, Malacañang remains firm in ensuring that discipline is upheld within the ranks of the police force.
