Famous actress Claudine Barretto shared these posts as she remembered actor Rico Yan on his 50th birthday.
If only Rico Yan were still alive; he would be 50 years old already. Back in the day, he was a heartthrob and one of the most loved actors of his generation. His love team with actress Claudine Barretto, both in reel and in real life, was widely accepted. However, on March 29, 2002, his unexpected death happened and broke many hearts.
He was only 27 years old when he died and had a full life ahead of him, but this was cut short. The actor died of cardiac arrest due to acute hemorraghic pancreatitis.
For Claudine, he was her “one great love,” and after all these years, she has kept a letter she received from him when he was still alive. He was a big part of her life, and she felt grateful as he was still honored and remembered by many, including her.
She never failed to remember him on his death anniversary and birthdays, and recently, as the actress marked another birthday of his. He was supposed to be 50 by now if he was only alive. Yan was born on March 14, 1975.
