The Subsistence Allowance for the soldiers is usually intended for their food expenses. In December, Pres. Bongbong Marcos reiterated his promise to make the AFP world-class.

“Thereafter, the funding requirements necessary for the continued implementation of this Order shall be included in the budget proposals of the AFP, subject to the usual budget preparation process,” the E.O. No.84 reads.

Reportedly, the Executive Order No. 84 took effect immediately upon the publication of the order in the Official Gazette. Recently, the AFP clarified that the rumors that many of their members resigned following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte are not true.

Countless Filipinos bashed the Philippine government and Pres. Bongbong Marcos over the arrest of former Pres. Duterte tagging it as alleged betrayal and insult to the sovereignty of the country. MalacaƱang defended Marcos Jr. from betrayal allegations.
