Matet de Leon and Julie Anne San Jose have their first project together
Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose received this comment from seasoned actress Matet de Leon.
Julie Anne has come a long way since she started as a young singer and a member of the Sugarpop group. Eventually, she evolved into an actress and has done various acting projects.
She is set to star in the new Kapuso murder series SLAY. This is the first Viu Original of GMA and it is set to premiere on March 24. In the series, Matet will portray the character of Leona, a free-spirited painter and the loving mom of Liv, played by Julie Anne.
During a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Matet de Leon shared her experience working with Julie Anne San Jose.
Matet praised the younger actress because of her good attitude. “Ang nagustuhan ko actually na pag-uugali [ni Julie], napakabait niya. She’s funny, na chill lang. Kumbaga, matutuwa ka talaga sa kanya,” the older actress said.
Matet added that it was easy for her to make Julie Anne laugh. She said that she loves it when people laugh with what she does because for her, she is a clown. The former child star also said that she loves having conversations with Julie Anne.
“I love her agad,” Mater de Leon said. Aside from her and Julie Anne San Jose, SLAY also features Gabbi Garcia, Mikee Quintos, and Ysabel Ortega as lead stars.
Other cast members are Derrick Monasterio, Royce Cabrera, James Blanco, Tina Paner, Bernard Palanca, Phoemela Baranda, Chuckie Dreyfus, Simon Ibarra, Jay Ortega, and Gil Cuerva.
Meanwhile, aside from a very successful acting and singing career, Julie Anne also has a happy love life. She has been in a relationship with actor Rayver Cruz for many years now. In a previous statement, Rayver said that he will do anything to prove that he deserves to be the husband of Julie Anne.
