Iloilo Vlogger Seeks Financial Help for Hospital Bills After Setting Himself on Fire for Content
BOY NEGRO – The Iloilo vlogger suffered severe burns after setting himself on fire in an attempt to create viral content.
Recently, Isagani Camare Canja, popularly known as “Boy Negro” suffered third-degree burns after setting himself on fire for content. The incident happened in Calinog, Iloilo. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, he was seen holding two plastic cups filled with gasoline. He first drank some of the gasoline before pouring the rest over his body. Then, he took a burning tree branch, spread the flames across his body, and jumped into a small pit of water, expecting it to put out the fire.

Unfortunately, the water in the pit was only knee-deep, which was not enough to fully extinguish the flames. As a result, he sustained severe burns, particularly on the upper part of his body.
On March 10, 2025, he posted photos of his burns and appealed to his followers for financial assistance to cover his medical expenses.
Canja, who is also a tricycle driver, admitted that he took the risk, believing he could handle it. However, the stunt backfired, leaving him in pain and in need of medical care.
The incident shows the dangers of performing extreme stunts for social media content. Many netizens expressed concern over the lengths some content creators go to for views and engagement.
While Canja is receiving treatment, his situation reminds the public to prioritize safety over internet fame. Authorities and experts continue to urge vloggers and content creators to think twice before engaging in dangerous activities that could put their lives at risk.
