In a new video, showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz shares a detail from his source regarding the split of Sam Milby and Catriona Gray.
Last February, actor Sam Milby confirmed that he and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray had broken up. It was nearly a year since the speculations circulated online, and to recall, they were already engaged. The actor proposed to the beauty queen in 2023.
He also cleared up some issues regarding his breakup with Gray and ultimately shed light on rumors about Moira Dela Torre as the third party that caused their separation. He expressed, “There was never a third party sa amin ni Cat. That needs to be cleared. There is no truth to it at all.”
Also, just recently, in an interview with Boy Abunda, Sam emotionally recalled the split with Catriona.
“It’s been rough. No breakup is easy. It’s really been rough. It wasn’t only magboyfriend-girlfriend kami –– we were engaged. To have that not push through… it’s been really rough, honestly,” he said.
Despite being emotional, he maintained that he wouldn’t be going into details out of respect for the woman that he still loves and cares for. Following the emotional interview, more people became curious as to what caused their separation.
In a new vlog of Ogie Diaz, his source revealed something about the former couple. Accordingly, it was Sam who backed out from the wedding plans, and this led to their split.
Based on the claims of Diaz’s source, the actor was not prepared mentally and emotionally. Diaz added, “Parang na-realiza ni Sam, sandali, baka magkaproblema kami kung mentally, emotionally hindi ako handa.”
As per him, what matters most is that they did not ruin each other publicly. Indeed, even the most promising relationships can end, proving that nothing is certain in this world.
