PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rain over parts of the country.
On Friday (March 7, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that the Shear Line will be affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon, the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting extreme Northern Luzon, while the Easterlies will affect the rest of the country.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Mainland Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Isabela, and Aurora.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Caraga, Southern Leyte, and Davao Oriental. The northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over the Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte.

“The northeast monsoon brings cold winds while the easterlies cause hot winds, and the clash of hot and cold air causes shearline,” Badrina said.
Similar weather is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be rough. Central Luzon will have moderate to rough coastal waters. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of the country.
PAGASA reported that no tropical cyclones are forming in and near the Philippine area of responsibility over the weekend.
