Authorities Rescued 9 Women from Videoke Bar Offering ‘Extra Service’ in Pangasinan
Authorities raided a videoke bar in Sual, Pangasinan, that was allegedly involved in the exploitation of women and offering “extra service” to customers.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Alaminos District Office conducted the operation after receiving information that the women working there were being used as Guest Relations Officers (GROs) and providing illegal services to customers.
Investigators were sent to confirm the claims, and they discovered that the establishment was indeed offering sexual entertainment. Based on their findings, women were being offered to customers for a fee of P2,000.

Additionally, authorities found a small hut behind the bar owner’s house, where some of the victims were taken for an extra charge of P100 on top of the initial payment.
During the raid, the NBI rescued nine women, including four minors aged 14 to 17. The victims shared that they were initially promised jobs as waitresses but later found themselves forced into working as GROs.
Some of them came from Tarlac and Camiling and had been told there were job opportunities in Sual. Others admitted they were aware of the nature of the work but felt compelled to accept it due to financial difficulties.

The operation led to the arrest of the bar owners, a married couple, along with the floor manager. They are now facing charges for violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 in relation to child abuse.
Authorities continue their investigation to ensure justice for the victims and prevent further exploitation. The rescued women, especially the minors, will be given proper care and assistance to help them recover from their experience.
