Walang Pasok March 4, 2025 Due To High Heat Index, Here’s List

Several LGUs declared Walang Pasok on March 4, 2025, due to a forecasted dangerous heat index.

WALANG PASOK MARCH 4, 2025 – Several local government units announced the suspension of classes due to expected high temperature on Tuesday.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Metro Manila at the beginning of the week could experience a heat index of up to 46 degrees Celsius.

This range falls under the dangerous category, and some of the risks associated with this dangerous range include heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke in severe cases.

Classes in all levels in the following areas are suspended:

  • BATAAN
    • Abucay (public and private)
    • Hermosa (public and private)
    • Orani (public and private)
    • (Samal) (public and private)
  • City of Manila (face-to-face classes only; shift to online/alternative modes of learning)

Classes from elementary to senior high school are suspended in the following areas:

  • CAVITE
    • Bacoor (face-to-face classes only; public and private)

At Adamson University, classes in all levels will shift to the online synchronous mode. Two local authorities in Metro Manila also issued an Executive Order or Ordinance for the automatic class suspension in case the heat index reaches 42°C or higher, which will be based on the data provided by PAGASA.

Marikina City released Executive Order No. 05 series 2025, which declares that face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private schools will be automatically suspended when the heat index reaches 42°C or higher.

Classes will shift to online synchronous or asynchronous classes. This is the same with Valenzuela City, according to City Ordinance No. 1175, Series of 2024.

Based on the forecast, the temperature is expected to reach 42 to 51 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 – the danger range.
