Coco Martin is excited for the Book 2 of ‘Batang Quiapo’
Kapamilya primetime action king Coco Martin said that in the Batang Quiapo Book 2, they will enter the world of politics.
Coco has been reigning the primetime timeslot, from Ang Probinsyano, he is now the reason for the success of his current TV series Ang Batang Quiapo. The lead actor, who is also the director of the series, has been featuring many artists in his television projects.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Coco shared the Book 2 of the Kapamilya action-drama series will feature the backstory of Tindeng, portrayed by seasoned actress Charo Santos.
Tindeng, is the mother of Marites, Coco’s character Tanggol’s mother. The actor-director shared that he has been sleepless because he was excited to tell the interconnected stories of characters and how to share a new story to their viewers every night.
He specifically mentioned the story surrounding the character of Tindeng. With this, Coco Martin said that this is very timely because of the election season.
“Kung saan nagmula si Tindeng, bakit Tindeng, ano ang kwento ng kabataan niya, ano ‘yung totoong pagkatao o buhay ni Marites? Ano ‘yung totoong ugat ni Tanggol? Ang kinaganda pa nito, napapanahon ang kwento natin kasi papasok tayo sa mundo ng politika.” the Kapamilya actor said.
Coco was also asked if he has been reading comments online about his series. He said that his barometer in what he does is his grandmother.
“Ang pinapakiramdam ko pag nananood ako, ‘yung pamilya ko, kung ano ‘yung reaction nila lalong lalo na yung lola ko, pag na e-excited at nagtatanong siya sa akin, siya ang pulso ko,” he said.
