Jeepney Driver’s Tear-Jerking Reaction to Seeing His OFW Daughter Touches Many Hearts

A jeepney driver touches many hearts with his tear-jerking reaction upon realizing he is facing his OFW daughter.

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Japan touches many hearts after pulling a surprise reunion for her jeepney driver father. However, instead of her father being shocked, it was the daughter who grew anxious when he didn’t recognize her right away.

Lizette Eclarino had been working in Japan for five years and hadn’t been home in all that time. When she finally returned to the Philippines, she first surprised her family members, including her mother.

After that, she planned a special surprise for her father, Tatay Boying, with the help of her family.

Eclarino disguised herself as a regular passenger by wearing a hat, sunglasses, and a face mask. She quietly sat at the back of the jeep while her father drove, unaware of his daughter’s presence. Even her mother played along to make the surprise more convincing.

The Pinay OFW handed her father a Japanese banknote as her payment. Her father found it strange but didn’t immediately suspect anything. He simply thought it was an unusual bill, not realizing his daughter was right in front of him.

As the other passengers got off, Lizette started removing her disguise little by little. But even with her face uncovered, her father didn’t recognize her right away. He even commented that she looked exactly like his daughter.

“Nagtatanggal na po ako isa-isa ng covers sa mukha. Tapos nagtaka rin po ako, ‘Wala naman akong cover ‘yung mukha ko, bakit parang hindi pa rin ako nakikilala ni papa ko,'” she said.

Eventually, Lizette decided to step off the jeep and approach her father directly. It was only when he looked closely at her face that everything sank in. Tatay Boying’s eyes welled up with tears as he embraced his daughter tightly.

For Eclarino, working in Japan was challenging, but it strengthened her bond with her family. “Sobrang saya po, kasi talagang ang laking tulong ng Japan para po sa amin, para rin po sa relasyon ng family ko at sa akin po. Mas nakakatulong po ‘yung pag-Japan ko kasi napakita ko po ‘yung love ko,” she added.
