Businessman Jam Ignacio did not appear before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Jam Ignacio failed to appear at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to answer the allegations of DJ Jellie Aw.
DJ Jellie formally filed a complaint against Jam Ignacio for beating her inside a car because of jealousy. The beating also took her life. She suffered from busted lips, a swollen eye, and multiple cuts and bruises.
In a previous article, DJ Jellie revealed what happened inside the car. According to her, out of jealousy, things escalated and while inside the vehicle, she received punches from him. He was also slamming her head in the window while pulling her by the hair.
She shared, “Sobrang seloso po kasi kahit maliit na bagay, talagang pinapalaki niya. Kahit po sa work ko, kapag may kumakaway sa akin sa gig, nagagalit siya.”
Jam apologized to Jellie just recently and expressed that despite what happened, he still wanted to marry her. He wanted to fix their relationship. He expressed, “Sana bigyan mo ng pagkakataon na ayusin natin to pareho ng pribado na sa’ting dalawa.”
On February 20, Ignacio was called to appear before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to address the allegation but he refused to make an appearance. Atty. Oscar Karaan, his attorney, they would be willing to face the fiscal instead.
They already sent a letter to the NBI informing them that his client won’t be attending the hearing anymore. The attorney added, “The NBI can just refer the matter to the appropriate fiscal’s office with jurisdiction over the case and then we’ll answer the case that will be filed against my client.”
Karaan also said that Ignacio is trying to fix his relationship with Jellie and settle the matter out of court. Despite the effort to have an out-of-court settlement, they would be willing to address the issue once it reaches the fiscal office. Karaan stressed that “accusation is not equivalent or synonymous with evidence”.
