The PDP-Laban held a proclamation rally. At the event, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte made a statement that earned different reactions from the people. The former President received criticisms. Recently, Sen. Bato dela Rosa who is close to the former Chief Executive spoke on Duterte’s controversial remark. He was the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the Duterte administration.

“Hay! Hanggang ngayon… ‘di pa niyo kilala si Pangulong Duterte, ‘no? Hanggang ngayon, ganoon pa rin? Ganoong statement, bigyan niyo ng weight? Klaro naman ‘yun na biro,” Dela Rosa said.

Based on a report on GMA News’ Balitambayan, Dela Rosa stressed that Duterte should have not spoken about it in public if he really has ill intentions against 15 senators. According to him, it is allegedly clear that the former President just wants to spark laughter among the people at the PDP-Laban proclamation rally.

Duterte’s daughter, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte who is currently faced by an impeachment verdict by the House of Representatives, and son, Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte, were also present at the proclamation rally.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is running for Davao City Mayor this 2025 Midterm Elections. His vice mayoralty running-mate is his youngest son, Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte.
