Joel Villanueva spoke once again about the corruption in flood control projects
Senator Joel Villanueva reiterated his innocence in the anomalous flood control projects as he was accused of receiving kickbacks.
Villanueva was accused of former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan assistant district engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez of receiving millions of pesos from the flood control projects.
The lawmaker strongly denied the allegations against him. He even said that he is willing to open his bank account to prove his innocence.
Amid the corruption issue, Sen. Joel Villanueva was also accused of having a side chick. He was linked to beauty queen Angelica Corporal. Because of their rumored relationship, netizens noticed the luxury items that the beauty queen has been flashing on social media. With all the accusations against him, the lawmaker said that he would file a case against his accusers.
JIL leader and CIBAC Partylist representative Eddie Villanueva defended his son against the accusation and even posed a threat to the senator’s accusers.
In a recent JIL Church Worldwide 47th anniversary, based on the report from Abante News, Villanueva once again stated that he is innocent. He stressed that years ago, he had been speaking about the anomaly in flood control projects.
“Sino ba ang unang nag-expose ng flood control?” he asked before their congregation. The lawmaker also stressed that he was the one who first mentioned that there was P1.44 billion budget a day of the government’s flood control projects. “Tapos ngayon kasali ka daw, edi wow!” Sen. Joel Villanueva said.
